African swine fever continues to spread widely in Vietnam, where officials said about 230,000 hogs have been culled, three times the 2020 figure. A new ASF case was also reported in Germany.
Large hog losses in Vietnam reduce pork supply and feed demand there, while spread to Germany raises export-restriction risk for the EU pork trade, which can weigh on hog prices.
