Indonesia raised its 2022 biodiesel allocation to 11.03 million kilolitres from 10.15 million, citing expected fourth-quarter demand under the mandatory B30 programme. It also extended its palm oil export levy waiver to October 31 to ease domestic stock pressure.
A larger biodiesel mandate absorbs more palm oil domestically, tightening supply available for export and supporting palm and soyoil prices. The levy waiver partly offsets this by encouraging exports.
