A bipartisan group of 28 members of Congress asked President Trump to set timely, robust 2026 renewable volume obligations. They requested at least 15 billion gallons of conventional biofuel and 5.25 billion gallons of biomass-based diesel, and asked that small refinery exemptions not be abused.
The Renewable Fuels Association welcomed the request.
Higher biofuel volume mandates would support soybean oil demand and crush margins, sustaining soybean and soybean oil prices.
