Ukraine's Sea Ports Authority said its Black Sea corridor has handled 50 million tonnes of cargo since August 2023. Ukraine exported a record 6.6 million tonnes of grain and oilseeds in April 2024, with about 5.2 million tonnes shipped through its Black Sea ports.
Steady, record Ukrainian seaborne exports add supply to the wheat and corn markets, which is bearish for prices. The result also shows the corridor can operate without the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
