In August 2024, EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes carried about 29% of Ukraine's grain, oilseed and related exports, versus about 71% through Black Sea ports. Cumulatively since May 2022, the lanes have enabled roughly 76 million tonnes of grain and related exports.
Rail and road routes provide an alternative to Black Sea shipping, easing logistics constraints on Ukrainian grain and oilseed flows and marginally limiting supply disruption premiums.
