Argentina raised taxes on soybean oil and meal exports in March 2022 and imposed a lower cap than last year on new wheat exports. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, it also raised taxes on processed soy oil and meal shipments.
Export taxes and caps reduce Argentine export supply to world markets, which tends to lift global wheat, soyoil and soymeal prices.
