The Russian Ministry of Agriculture set the September export duty on sunflower oil at 14,377.7 rubles per ton, nearly double August's level. The duty on sunflower meal rises to 1,958.8 rubles per ton from 312.4 rubles in August.
The floating duty, known as the sunflower damper, has been extended through August 31, 2028.
A floating duty that rises with the gap between base and market prices reduces Russian export supply of sunflower oil and meal. That tightens world supply and supports prices for buyers of sunflower meal.
