The IEA June 2025 Oil Market Report forecasts world oil demand growth of 720 kb/d in 2025 and 740 kb/d in 2026. Global supply rose 330 kb/d in May to 105 mb/d as OPEC+ unwound voluntary cuts, and Russian export revenues fell.
Rising supply growth outpacing demand points to a looser crude balance, which tends to push energy and input costs lower for feed buyers.
