The IEA October 2023 Oil Market Report found evidence of demand destruction, with US gasoline consumption at two-decade lows. It forecast global oil demand growth of 2.3 mb/d in 2023 and said the Israel-Hamas conflict had not directly affected oil flows.
Demand weakness in mature markets and rising non-OPEC+ supply point to a softer crude balance. This is bearish for energy costs that feed to animal-feed producers.
