Rough rice futures rose above $10 per hundredweight but stayed near their lowest since December 2016. Traders cited ample supply from large harvests in India and Indonesia, and Indonesia reported record rice stocks.
Large Asian supplies keep the global rice benchmark depressed, so any futures rally is likely to be limited.
