The dollar index fell 1.9% on Friday after Fed officials, including Boston's Collins and Chicago's Evans, signaled slower rate hikes. The December federal funds futures contract eased about 6 bp, while the 10-year Treasury yield rose 2 bp to 4.17%.
The dollar closed the week roughly unchanged.
Expectations of smaller Fed hikes weaken the dollar, which typically supports dollar-priced grains and oilseeds. Lower rate expectations also reduce financing costs for commodity holders.
