Brent settled up 6.31% at $84.93 and WTI up 6.28% at $80.42 after OPEC+ announced a cut of 1.16 million barrels per day, with Saudi Arabia's voluntary cut running from May through end-2023. Russia's separate 500,000 barrel per day cut added to the tightening.
Voluntary cuts through year end reduce crude supply and lift diesel and freight costs for feed producers. Higher energy prices also support biofuel demand for vegetable oils.
