The US dollar rose against major currencies in New York trading on Tuesday after the JOLTS report showed job openings rising by 333,000 to 7.523 million in September, above forecasts. Investors are watching the US midterm elections and the upcoming nonfarm payrolls data.
The dollar index gained 0.15% to 101.867.
