The EIA forecasts Henry Hub natural gas spot prices will average $6.09/MMBtu over November 2022 to March 2023, the highest real winter price since 2009-10. The forecast reflects storage about 4% below average and higher LNG export demand as Freeport LNG returns.
A higher winter gas price outlook raises the cost of gas-fired power and drying energy, and supports ethanol and feed-related energy costs in the US.
