South Dakota poultry producers are recovering from the 2015 avian flu outbreak that drove up egg prices and hurt egg and turkey producers. Dakota Layers repopulated all nine of its flocks last month.
Restocked layer flocks add supply to an already well-supplied egg market, which keeps downward pressure on egg prices and weighs on feed demand from layers.
