India's agricultural and processed food exports in April-September FY17 declined about 3.6% year on year to Rs 50,939 crore. Buffalo meat and fruit and vegetable shipments rose, while basmati rice shipments fell substantially.
Lower basmati shipments reduce demand for Indian rice and soften export prices, while stronger buffalo meat and produce flows show shifting export mix. Impact on feed commodities is limited.
