Indonesia's crude palm oil and derivative exports fell about 2% to 25.7 million tons in 2016. Domestic CPO prices rose in January, with Rotterdam quoted at about US$180 per metric ton.
Regional producers reported improving prices and demand.
Lower export volumes combined with firmer prices point to tighter supply for palm-based feed ingredients and support for vegetable oil costs.
