US ethanol exports fell 20% in December 2016 to 98.0 million gallons, though calendar 2016 exports reached 1.05 billion gallons, up 25% from 2015. Brazil and Canada were the top destinations, and two-thirds of volume went to Brazil, Canada and China.
Strong ethanol export demand supports ethanol production and corn grind, which in turn shapes DDGS supply for feed buyers.
