Cedigaz reports that 16 million tonnes of new LNG supply entered the market in 2016, a 6.8% increase. About 110 mmtpa of additional capacity is under construction for start-up by 2020-2021.
Roughly 42% of current LNG demand is due to arrive in a short period, which points to continued downward pressure on gas prices.
