U.S. DDGS exports totaled 11.48 million metric tons in 2016, the second-highest on record and down 10% from 2015. Roughly one-third of U.S. DDGS output was exported, mainly to Mexico and Asia, and FOB plant prices eased to about $102/MT.
Strong export buying from Asia at competitive prices supports DDGS demand, and a possible ethanol slowdown could tighten supply and lift prices.
