UK ex-farm feed wheat rose just over £1/t in the week to 19 April on dry weather and tight old-crop supplies, averaging £144.70/t. Feed barley rose 40p/t to £121.20/t while breadmaking wheat was flat.
Frosts were also reported in some relatively advanced crops.
Dry conditions in Western Europe and tight UK feed wheat supplies support feed grain prices into the new crop year, raising input costs for feed buyers.
