Fed funds futures priced a 93% chance of a June rate hike after the FOMC statement, up from 69% the previous day. The dollar strengthened against other currencies, and the Australian dollar fell over 1% as gold, iron ore and copper slid.
Rising June hike odds lift the dollar and pressure commodity currencies and commodity prices, which can soften export values for US grains and oilseeds.
