Malaysia's oil palm acreage grew 1.7 percent to 5.7 million hectares in 2016, but crude palm oil output fell 13.2 percent as El Niño drought hurt yields. Palm oil stocks ended 2016 down 36.7 percent and exports fell 8.2 percent.
