Forecasts put Russian wheat exports for 2017/18 at a record 28.8 million tonnes, while Ukraine's fall to 14.6 million and Kazakhstan's reach 7 million. Combined CIS exports are seen falling 3.3% to 50.4 million tonnes, with regional wheat output down 7.5%.
Record Russian exports from high stocks offset a smaller regional crop, keeping Black Sea wheat competitively priced, about $10-15/t below European origin in summer delivery.
