Brazil's central bank is expected to cut the SELIC rate by 100 basis points to 8.25% at its September 6 meeting, with further cuts seen through October and possibly December. ING sees the cycle concluding at 7.5% and says a social security reform rally in the real could allow more easing.
Lower Brazilian rates tend to weaken the real, which makes Brazilian soybeans and corn cheaper in dollar terms for export buyers and can add pressure to global soy and meal prices.
