WSJ reports diesel futures have risen roughly 10% since Hurricane Harvey hit the US Gulf Coast. The disruption to flows of the fuel abroad has contributed to a shortfall in Europe.
Lost Gulf refining output and reduced export flows tighten diesel supply and lift prices. Price implication is firmer diesel.
