USDA released final 2016 market-year average prices, setting the Price Loss Coverage payment rate at 34 cents per bushel for corn and $1.61 per bushel for wheat. ARC-County payments are expected to follow once county yields are released.
These are program payments on old-crop prices rather than new supply or demand, so the direct effect on futures is limited.
