The Fertilizer Affordability Index, published by Mosaic, rose week-over-week from 0.69x to 0.70x, remaining below its 2005 base level and indicating relatively high affordability. The index compares weighted prices of urea, DAP and potash against corn, soybeans and wheat.
Affordability near 0.70x indicates crop prices are strong relative to fertilizer costs, supporting farmer demand for nutrients and feed-grain acreage economics.
