Malaysia urges France to reject EU resolution that discriminates palm oil

Malaysia's Plantation Industries Minister urged France to reject an EU resolution on palm oil and deforestation and to accept Malaysia's MSPO certification scheme. He said the resolution and French environment minister support for it could act as a non-tariff barrier to Malaysian palm oil exports to the EU.

Norway's proposal to exclude palm biodiesel from EU renewable energy rules was also raised.
