A 48-hour strike by about 600 Pacific National coal train crew and 300 bulk cargo crew halted coal trains to Newcastle and affected grain and bulk trains across much of NSW. The union confirmed another 48-hour stoppage was planned for the following weekend after 30 failed bargaining meetings.
