The US Department of Commerce preliminarily determined that biodiesel from Indonesia is being, or is likely to be, sold in the United States at less than fair value. The determination covers the January to December 2016 period of investigation and was published in the Federal Register on October 31, 2017.
Antidumping duties on Indonesian palm-based biodiesel shift US demand toward domestic soybean oil and away from palm oil imports. The duty supports SBO prices and weighs on palm oil.
