The rupiah weakened slightly to 13,514 per US dollar in Jakarta interbank trading on Thursday morning, from 13,500. Traders pointed to stronger-than-expected US third-quarter GDP growth of 3.3 percent and supportive comments from Fed Chair Janet Yellen on gradual rate hikes.
A weaker rupiah raises the local-currency cost of imported feed ingredients such as soybean meal and corn, pressuring Indonesian feed buyers' margins.
