The Grain Industry Association of Western Australia raised its November estimate of the state's winter crop 6.9% to 12.3 million tonnes. Late rain and mild October weather improved grain fill, although some eastern wheatbelt growers still face poor results.
A larger West Australian crop eases some of the national shortfall and adds to export availability, which is mildly bearish for wheat and barley prices.
