The IGC puts 2017-18 French grain production at 68.2 million tonnes, up from 53.9 million, with wheat at 40 million tonnes and barley at 12.3 million. FranceAgriMer forecasts French common wheat exports at 18.75 million tonnes, sharply above the prior year's 11.75 million.
A much larger French crop and strong export forecast add supply to world wheat and barley markets, which is bearish for feed grain prices in importing regions.
