Emerging-market stocks and currencies had their best year since 2009 as the dollar fell more than 9 percent against major currencies in 2017. Commodities including coal, copper and crude also posted strong gains.
A weaker dollar and firmer emerging-market currencies improve purchasing power in importing countries, supporting demand for feed commodities and meals.
