Pig keepers warned not to feed kitchen scraps to pigs due to African swine fever risk

UK authorities reminded pig keepers that feeding kitchen scraps and catering waste to farm animals is illegal, citing the risk of African swine fever entering Britain. ASF has not been found in the UK, but the risk level was raised over the summer after spread in Eastern and Central Europe.
