Ohio farmers reported corn yields well above the USDA's 173 bpa estimate, with many harvesting 200-plus bpa. Soybean yields fell about four bushels from 2016.
Average prices were $3.50 per bushel for corn and $9.39 for soybeans, both lower than 2016.
Strong Ohio corn yields add to ample feed grain supply and point to lower corn prices. Weaker soybean yields offer only limited support for soybean prices.
