The dollar fell to its lowest level in more than three months on the first trading day of 2018, with the dollar index touching 91.751. Traders doubted the Fed would deliver three rate hikes this year given muted US inflation.
A weaker dollar tends to lift dollar-priced grain, oilseed and meal prices by making US exports cheaper abroad. Feed buyers should expect firmer dollar-based ingredient prices if the trend persists.
