Indonesian officials expect domestic biodiesel consumption to fall in the second half of 2017 after 1.7 million kilolitres in the first half. Separately, US anti-subsidy duties hit biodiesel imports and India raised its edible oil import tax to a 10-year high.
India's higher edible oil tariff reduces import demand for palm and soy oil, while weaker Indonesian biodiesel use leaves more palm oil available for export.
