DTN's Bryce Anderson says La Niña has cooled equatorial Pacific waters by about 1C, shaping a split South American season. Brazil's soybean crop is expected to be only slightly below last year, while the safrinha corn crop faces a later planting and lower projected output.
A smaller Brazilian safrinha corn crop reduces export supply later in the year, supporting corn and feed-ingredient prices against a backdrop of Argentine drought.
