Indonesia's Trade Ministry plans to expand biodiesel exports to Europe after winning an appeal at the European Court of Justice against EU anti-dumping duties. Duties of 8.8% to 23.3% were imposed in November 2013, and Indonesian biodiesel exports to Europe fell 42.84% from 2013 to 2016.
Restored access to the EU biodiesel market could lift Indonesian palm-based biodiesel demand and support palm oil prices, though the plan is still an intention rather than a confirmed volume change.
