Malaysian palm oil sales rose in the first half of 2019 compared with a year earlier. Shipments to the United States rose 28%, to China 16.3%, to India 86%, and to the EU 8%.
Malaysia's deputy minister said the country could benefit from the US-China trade war if managed well.
Broader export demand, especially from India and China, supports Malaysian palm oil prices and tightens available supply.
