Rabobank reports EU soymeal imports in 2017/18 fell to 18.5m tonnes, the third-lowest in ten years, as EU crushers run hard. Crushers are buying cheap US soybeans because of China's 25% duty and elevated meal prices from the Argentine drought.
Lower EU soymeal import demand from South America and rising US bean purchases shift trade flows and weigh on South American meal prices.
