France calls on EU to follow its forest lead

French Secretary of State Brune Poirson called for EU-wide measures to halt deforestation in supply chains, at a Paris meeting attended by 150 participants. France has extended its palm oil alliance and announced closer monitoring of forest-risk commodity imports, prompted by the 2018 Trase Yearbook on soy sourcing.
