The dollar rose to a more than one-week high against major currencies after the Fed raised rates for the third time in 2018 and signaled another hike in December plus three next year. The euro weakened on worries about Italy's budget, and the dollar index rose 0.7 percent to 94.83.
A stronger dollar tends to weigh on dollar-priced commodities and can pressure US export competitiveness for feed grains and meal, while a weaker euro reduces EU purchasing power for imports.
