USDA data showed wheat export sales for the week ending October 25 of 582,500 tons, up 32 percent week on week and above most pre-report expectations. Corn and soybean sales came in below analyst estimates, and corn shipments were well ahead of the projected pace.
Stronger-than-expected wheat demand supports wheat prices, while weaker corn and soybean sales are mildly bearish for those markets. Wheat is the stronger signal in the report.
