The U.S. Grains Council and partner organizations led a delegation to Mexico, their top coarse grain and co-product customer, to meet buyers and incoming government officials. The trip followed the conclusion of USMCA negotiations and preceded the December 1 swearing-in of President-elect López Obrador.
Routine trade promotion with no new purchase or policy change, so the direct price effect is limited. Stable relations with Mexico support steady U.S. corn, sorghum and barley export demand.
