New African swine fever outbreaks were reported in Hunan, Jilin, Jiangxi and Fujian, with 194 pigs culled in three provinces and 85 infected pigs in Fujian. Sichuan has banned live hog and pork imports since November 8, and roughly 50 cases have been recorded since August across 12 provinces.
Spreading disease and import bans in China reduce domestic pork supply and lift import demand, which supports hog prices and feed demand for soymeal and corn.
