The EIA's January 2019 Short-Term Energy Outlook expects Henry Hub natural gas to average $2.89/MMBtu in 2019 and $2.92 in 2020, about 25 cents below 2018. It also projects record U.S. dry gas output rising from 83.3 Bcf/d in 2018 to 92.2 Bcf/d in 2020.
Stable, ample U.S. gas supply keeps energy input costs for feed mills and ethanol plants predictable, with no strong upward pressure on fuel or drying costs.
