Russian state-controlled VTB bank agreed to buy 100 percent of the Novorossiysk Grain Terminal from NSCP, a Transneft-controlled entity, giving it a second terminal stake at Russia's main deep-sea grain hub. VTB's CEO said NSCP will no longer handle grain.
Traders saw the move as a sign of growing state involvement and speculated Russia could limit exports later in the 2018/19 season.
